It comes with a 220 degree Lidar which, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, offers one of my top navigation and object avoidance features I've seen in a robotic vacuum. It has a hefty 4600mAh battery that lasts for up to 170-minutes when mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can run longer in turbo). It will even return to its dock to replenish its battery during the cleaning.

It is very fast and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It is able to vacuum carpeted rooms quickly and hardwood floors in the living room, kitchen, and hallways with just one pass. Its 8,000pa suction motor is quick at picking up dirt, crumbs, and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects rugs and the dual side brush helps to remove debris from corners.

The mopping performance, though still impressive, isn't as effective. The mop's rotating mechanism spins fast and makes use of 2.2lbs to remove dirt and stain. I've noticed that the front arm extends out a bit more than other robots. This is useful when you're trying to get into narrow corners or along baseboards. The front arms can also be used to collect larger debris like broken toys and books.

Another nice feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums that mop vacuums and mop I've ever used. It doesn't create the same volume of sound when mopping or vacuuming and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only downside is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for mopping, and is separate from the vacuum. The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot mop vacuum that can be found in our review, but it also has unique features that make it worth taking into consideration. The X1 Omni's most appealing feature is its huge dock, which doubles as a charging base and housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a cleaning sink as well as an automatic 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically emptys.

The base also has a number of buttons to control the system. These let you manually start a cleaning task or recall the robot or use the dock's automatic emptying process. Press two of the buttons to turn off a child lock which is a great touch for parents worried about their children playing with the vacuum.

This is a rare event, but frustrating nonetheless, because the X1 doesn't have a "stuck status" alert on its application.

The X1 Omni is unable to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming mode during the cleaning process. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad but the mopping pad isn't washed or dried between uses. This can lead to mildew and mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed the sleek modern base and mopping pad. It's a big contrast to the basic black bases of rivals like Roborock or iRobot. It's also a welcome sight for an industry dominated by boxy models.
