The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot with smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its running time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also automatically refills and self cleaning vacuum-empties its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.

The Roomba J7+, IRobot's most intelligent robot to date, is the Roomba J7+. Its greatest breakthrough is its camera-based obstacle detection system that uses built-in AI to detect objects such as charging cords, shoes, and the pet waste that the majority of other robots cannot avoid (and often plough right through). It's also the first to automatically send you a picture of any object it encounters so that you can tell it to stay clear of it in the future.

The Combo j7+ is also the most efficient mop robot we've ever tested, picking up dirt and spills with ease while leaving no trace it was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. You can schedule cleanings, and also create Keep Out Zones to ensure that it doesn't clean in areas you don’t want. And it's compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can control it from start to stop by speaking to it.

The design is also superior to the other models. It features a sleek, high-end piece that appears like toys rather than the loud and annoying robot. The Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System self-empties, which is great to speed up cleaning.

In our tests the j7+ performed quick to clean up dust dirt, pet hair and other particles. The counter-rotating rubber brush roll kept the debris in one place instead of scattering it around the floor. It even managed to capture sand and small gravel, which most other robots couldn't do. It did all this without getting caught in our pet's hair.

Although it's not as efficient as the Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum, which isn't able to clean stairs, the J7+ is an excellent choice for those who require both mopping and a vacuum in their home. It's not too expensive, and the IRobot app makes it user-friendly.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use, however we found it less reliable than other robotic vacuum cleaner on sale cleaner applications. It can take some time to download updates and it is sometimes difficult to know whether they're working until you actually see them in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you are looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean your floors then a hybrid is the Best self cleaning vacuum choice. This kind of robot usually includes a built-in water tank which means they can vacuum and mop your home at the same time. They also come with a variety of additional features, such as smart mapping, small obstacle avoidance and even the ability to wash and dry mopping pads. They are expensive at retail, but they often come down in price on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock makes some of our most loved robotic vacuums and the Q5+ doesn't disappoint. It's their cheapest auto-empty model, and while it lacks certain features that are found on more expensive models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still a great option if you're willing sacrifice a little to save hundreds of dollars.

The Q5+ is noticeably gentle around obstacles such as wall legs and table legs, which makes it a good option for homes with a lot of furniture. It is also very thorough in cleaning dust bunnies. This is a area where many robot vacuums that are less expensive fall short. The technology used to navigate in the Q5+ is superb as well, with only a few missed corners and along walls.

Like other Roborock devices like the Q5+, the Q5+ can be controlled with a few buttons on the device itself or via the Roborock app. The app lets you start and stop cleaning. You can also set up schedules, create virtual barrier and no-go areas or adjust your home map, or change the room's label.

If you choose the Q5+ model, it comes with a brand new auto-emptying dock that's designed to make the robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver to install, but once installed, the process of emptying the bin is relatively easy. It has a large LCD screen, which is useful when setting up schedules and adjusting settings. This feature isn't required for most people but it can help to keep track of the robot's maintenance schedules.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a smart, well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of mopping and vacuuming. Its design is one of the top in the market however, it's costly.

It is a relatively small base station that looks beautiful and is able to be concealed when not in use. But the station's main selling feature is the way it automatizes many tasks and functions that other robots will leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which many other robots require you to do) also emptying the dustbin after vacuuming, and helps keep your robot clean and charged.

Its vacuuming capabilities are impressive as well. It's the few robovacs I've tested that does an excellent job of collecting debris from unfinished floors, and it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.

However, the Freo X Ultra has its flaws, particularly in terms of navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren’t as reliable as other robot vacuums. This means that it is prone to getting stuck or confused in certain corners or rooms of the house. It's also unable to climb stairs as well as other models and isn't equipped with a dock that can create a cleaning area for plush carpets.

The Freo X Ultra robot automated vacuum and mop is an excellent choice for those who need a vacuum robot that can do it all.

But if you want to save money, or just don't care about the limitations of this robotic vacuum cleaner on sale there are many other options available with a wide range of eufy models that cost considerably less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance is less expensive and provides the same experience in the app, but with additional features such as stairs, a fully-function dock, and a better overall vacuuming performance on bare floors and low and high-pile carpets.

4. Eufy RoboVac G30

Eufy, an Anker company has a proven track record of making budget robot vacuum vacuums that strike the right balance between performance, features and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different it offers a high-quality cleaning of hard floors and carpets and mopping function too at a reasonable price. It's simple to set up by snapping one of the side brushes on, turn it on and plug in the charging dock. The app guides you through a few steps to connect to your Wi-Fi and then the G30 is ready to go. You'll need to leave the dock near a power outlet and plenty of room for it to move around however.

The G30 is a tiny device that measures 2.85 inches in height, so it will be placed under most couches and pieces of low-clearance furniture. Its design is a little less flashy than some of the rival models, and features a sleek black finish and three buttons that are physical that control Auto Cleaning, which can be paused or started. Recharge and Spot Cleaning (which cleans the area in an arc for two minutes). It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do routine cleaning tasks that are not scheduled.

The way in which the G30 cleans is what separates it from its competitors. It makes use of a built-in map to create an image of immovable objects it encounters while retaining what it's cleaned and where it can't access. It then returns to the base to recharge and then continues cleaning where it left off.

The sleek G30 has a few issues. The iRobot Roomba is built better and has lower recurring costs. It is faster to charge, has similar battery life and performs better on bare floors or low-pile carpet. It has a bigger dust bin, which does not require more emptying. It also comes with border strips that block it from certain areas. The G30 is cheaper and easier to maintain. Its smaller size means that it doesn't have to be empty as often and has less trouble with bulky materials like cereal.
