Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos

Robot vacuums and mop are getting more powerful. They pass our tests on cleaning and can take care of various flooring. Look for models that let you choose from a variety of modes, and use their charging dock to self-empty, and clean up the stairs.

A lot of the top models integrate with your smartphone. Find an app that lets you save maps, schedules and choose cleaning modes.

1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro

Eufy's gunmetal-and-gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuum and mop combos available on the market. It makes use of lidar to navigate making maps of floors and rooms.

When I tested the S1 It was quick to map our downstairs, which is home to linoleum flooring in the kitchen-diner and bathrooms, along with carpeting with a medium-pile and an area rug. It was able to drive right up to walls without colliding with them and even managed to drive across thresholds that were raised in the room without issue, though it occasionally struggled to get down the stairs in one move. The S1 also did an excellent job of cleaning hard floors with its mop that moved effortlessly on its flat side against the floor and lifting itself when it reached carpet or rugs.

The docking station of the S1 automatically emptys its trash bin and fills its onboard water tank with clean, ozonated water prior to each mopping session. The dock also includes a cleaning solution in the water to ensure deep cleaning. The S1's tank of water holds enough water for about 12 cleaning sessions before needing to be empty, but this will vary depending the amount you use the mop.

The S1 requires regular maintenance, just like any other 2-in-1 robots. You'll need to periodically rinse out the tank that has been contaminated to prevent it from becoming blocked. It is also necessary to clean the swivel wheels and sensors regularly to keep them from getting blocked by dirt or dust. Overall, the S1 is easy to maintain, especially compared to other combinations that require more care.

2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete

This all-in-one robotic mop and vacuum combo from Ecovacs is a reliable option for cleaning needs. The robot autonomous vacuum has 8700Pa suction power, and comes with a number unique features, including voice control and smart path planning that cleans furniture and eliminates obstacles. The mopping capabilities of the robot are impressive. Rotating mops actually lift the floor and scrub it instead of just drag a pad across a surface. Mops can also be dried and cleaned at the base station when required.

This robot combo has an easy-to-use interface that guides you through the process. It also comes with a hand-vacuum which can be used to clean those hard-to reach areas that the best robot vacuum can't reach. There are two water tanks that can be automatically emptied or refilled. It also comes with a variety of useful settings to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.

The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does excellent job of vacuuming, with strong suction that effortlessly picks up all kinds of debris, including the smaller pieces of dust that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are decent, but it can be stuck on small mats and rugs at my home (which you can alleviate by creating virtual boundaries in the app). The mopping capabilities are quite impressive, and comes with a pair of spinning mops that actually lift and scrub the floors instead of just dragging the pad over it. The mops are also cleaned using heated water and dried in the base station when required. Mops can also be refilled at the top of the station when required.

3. Dreame X40 ultra

Dreame released the luxe X30 Ultra earlier this year however their latest top-of-the-line robot vacuum and mop has even more impressive features. It has fantastic cleaning results and is easy to maintain. This makes it a worthy contender for our top list of mops and robot vacuums. Its superior mapping abilities, RGB AI smart detection and an extended side brush ensure that a thorough, customized clean is accomplished.

The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, removing fine and large debris from both hard floors and carpets. It cleaned the dirtiest areas of our tests with ease, avoiding pet hairs and other messes. The sweeping capabilities are augmented by a side brush that moves out to tackle difficult-to-reach corners, and an extendable mop pad that can be placed alongside baseboards.

Its navigation is smart, navigating narrow spaces and negotiating stairways without skipping a step. It can move from one room to the next without having to reverse direction. This is a great feature for large homes with multiple rooms. Its obstacle avoidance is less advanced than the ones of other competitors and leaves a large margin between obstacles. This could lead to missed spots.

The app features a simple user interface that is designed to be easy for both novice and experienced users. The app allows you to schedule and manage cleaning tasks. You can also alter the suction power, mop settings, and view 3-D and 2D maps. It can be controlled via the app, Alexa or Google Assistant. You can even tap into the X40 Ultra's camera remotely to get real-time video monitoring. But, you'll require a stable internet connection to use it via the app and external controls.

4. Roomba Q5 Pro

A robot vacuum does a great job of picking up dirt and debris, but it can't always get every last piece of dust. The Q5 is a stripped-down version of the more expensive S-series models from the company, including the flagship Roborock S8 maxV ultra. It uses the same LIDAR mapping sensors, however it's cheaper since it doesn't have mopping capabilities, and also has plastic body.

The Q5 is among the few robots we test that didn't have problems with carpets with high piles or area rug, but it was unable to pick up kitty litter or cable tangles and cable tangles, which isn't a surprise since it does not include AI-powered obstacle avoidance.

5. K10 Plus

K10 Plus is the quietest robovac we have ever tested. It also has a unique mapping system that helps it reach tight corners and corners that other vacuums are unable to. This device also has the bin, which means you don't need to empty it as frequently. It also has washable filters, which can further cut costs.
