And you can see the entire cleaning information in the app, which is intuitively laid out and is easy to comprehend, though we would like to be able distinguish between a vacuum and a vacuum/mop clean when looking at a clean area in the cleaning history.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

Lifting the hinged lid, you will find 350ml of dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank self-empties and the bin is auto-refilling.

The only negative I discovered with this model is that the VibraRise mop pad mount is not removable. You can replace the mopping cloth if required, but it's not easy to remove the mount to wash it manually. I've observed that any carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on mounts, which could cause abrasions.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a number clever features that include support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app allows you to manage and configure these advanced features. It also contains maps and advanced mopping options. The app also allows you to schedule cleanings, track the life of batteries and maintenance on components. You'll need to jump through some hoops to activate voice control on this model. This is a shame considering the performance otherwise.
