For instance, the Q5's navigation doesn't include AI-powered obstacle avoidance, so it's prone to become entangled in shoes and socks, and is unable to navigate rooms with a lot of people well in our tests. However, it's a good robot vacuum choice for those who want to save money on an iRobot Roomba and you have a mostly unfinished home or office. It's also quiet and can be used while you are at work or at school. The only thing it lacks that you can't find in the pricier iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming of floors with no floor. And it's less effective at mopping, relying on disposable wet wipes that don't hold on for long and don't deal with dried-on debris. The Q5 has a self-emptying cradle, however. If you're in need of it mop, the mopping pad can be changed for a wet one in seconds.

2. iRobot Roomba X30

The iRobot Roomba X30 is a compact sleek and stylish vacuum cleaner that also has the ability to sweep floors. Its agile navigation and intelligent cleaning maps make it simple to clean and efficient at tackling larger particles like pet hair. It also has a self-emptying dustbin, powerful suction, and support for virtual boundaries. It's the best robot hoover for carpets but it's not as good as other hoovers when it comes to deep cleaning.

It also supports voice commands through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It even cleans the floor after vacuuming, a feature that hasn't been seen in other robot vacuum/mop combos.

3. Roomba X40 from iRobot

With a sleek circular design that appears more like a regular Roomba than the competitors' compact models This robot vacuum and mop combo is one of the most attractive designs in our tests. The newest model from iRobot is its most advanced and has advanced features like enhanced dirt detection technology and future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that can autonomously wash mop pads).

It's the only robot vacuum/mop to score 100% in our evaluations due to a mix of high-tech sensors that include cameras, a structured light system and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could refill and empty its basestation on its own. It also boasted an industry-leading suction of 12,000Pa as well as self-cleaning mops.

As with other iRobot models as well, the X40 is easy to use, offering an intuitive mobile app interface and integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit, and Google Assistant. The only drawback is that it's still quite loud that could be an issue if you use it in the morning prior to work or in the evening as you try to sleep.

It's also a bit expensive however, not as expensive as the Ecovacs MaxV Ultra or the Roborock S8 Omni, which are both equally powerful and more attractive. If you're willing with a bit more noise and a little more cost this is a powerful two-in-one that will delight most.

iRobot L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the best robot vacuum and mop. It has a range of features that are advanced and will make you forget about your chores. The L20 Ultra is a hands-free cleaner that is similar to Ecovacs top-of-the-line X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra. It comes with a multi-function dock that will automatically emptys the automatic vacuum cleaner's bin and refills the water tank, and washes and dry the mop pads.

The smart robot makes use of LIDAR and structured lighting to draw out floor plans and spot obstacles. It can navigate more efficiently than its top competitors.
